I'm behind on my celebrity deaths. The SF Chron had no mention of this that I could see (I check sfgate.com several times a day).
Janis was a phenomenal performer. One wonders how much more she could have achieved if she hadn't done what a lot of women do : give up a career to become a wife and mother.
